I came across an interesting article today. It more or less said you can’t know what you want if you don’t know what you want. Make sense?
And it makes sense. ~~We~~ I have all of these ideas about what I want, who I want to be, the kind of job/work/career I want, the lifestyle, etc. But, I’ve never taken the time to write any of it down. The specifics. A deep dive.
So, I’m going to take some time to write these things out in detail, cause we can’t know what we want unless we know what we want. And I’m going to start with my ideal weekday.
6am - 7am
Wake up, meditate, coffee and write in my gratitude journal
*I’m currently a horrible morning person, but I’m fairly certain it has a lot to do with me dreading the day ahead. I’m confident that if had my ideal day, it would be a completely different person.*
7am - 8am
Gym - I really want to exercise. I know I need to exercise. But going to the gym after a day of work and an hour of sitting in traffic, is more or less impossible for me.
8am - 9am
Breakfast - Self-explanatory
9am - 5pm
Work.
Ideally, I’m able to work from anywhere, anytime. The idea of being stuck in an office for 8 hours a day and another 2 hours sitting in traffic makes me physically ill.
5pm - 6pm
Relax, get lost on the interwebs, binge watch YouTube
6pm - 7pm
Dinner.
7pm - 9pm
Work on a side hustle (whatever it may be at the time)
9pm - 10pm
Read
10pm - 11pm
Journal my day, work on blog posts for my site
11pm
Start winding down, get ready for bed, sleep
I don’t think there’s anything crazy or unattainable about my ideal day. In fact, I think it’s completely feasible. It just really depends on finding my ideal job. And that is the next step.
